Estes Park, named after Missouri native Joel Estes who founded Estes Park in 1859, is a popular summer resort community that rests at the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. Estes Park lies along the Big Thompson River in the beautiful Rocky Mountains.  With a population of 5,558 in 2010 the town sits at an elevation of 7,522 feet on the front range of the Rocky Mountains.
